Before Your First Visit

Stop taking antihistamines at least 48 hours before your appointment. These drugs interfere with allergy skin testing and may require you to reschedule.

  • Continue taking asthma inhalers and controller medications as prescribed.
  • Bring a list of all current medications, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements.
  • Bring any previous allergy test results or medical records if available.
  • Arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment

Your first visit will include a detailed patient history, a physical examination, and a discussion of your symptoms and goals. Based on this evaluation, we may recommend allergy skin testing, a breathing test, or both, all of which can be performed the same day in most cases. You will leave with a clear understanding of your diagnosis and a treatment plan.
