Information for New Patients
If you are a new patient coming to the office for the first time, we ask that you stop taking any antihistamines at least 48 hours prior to your visit. Frequently patients may require allergy skin testing to help diagnose their allergies and antihistamines can interfere with the testing. Below is a list of common antihistamines. Please call our office if you are not sure if you are taking an antihistamine or not.
Many over the counter cold medications contain antihistamines. Check individual ingredients on the bottle.
